„between styles” shows various works of the current and the past years by the internationally active artists Cren and AkteOne, who live and work in Berlin. They found their artistic origins in graffiti as part of the second generation of German graffiti artists in the late 1980s and early 1990s.
Their works describe the continuation from the wall in public space to a wide variety of image carriers. In their works, they transfer the classic style elements of style writing. These elements merge in the artistic process, regardless of the format, to create a contemporary work of art.
In the doing, they do not lose sight of one thing: the writing or the graffiti style in energetic, dynamic form, which appears again and again in most works as a whole, in detail or as small fragments.
