René Meyer (rmyr) is a visual artist who lives and works in Leipzig, Germany. For more than a decade, he has dedicated himself to the production of filigree stencils, focusing on complex industrial architecture and cityscapes instead of figurative motifs. He cuts all his complex multi-layered stencils by hand. The medium of stencils offers him the possibility to experiment again and again with different concepts and combinations. Thus he is constantly developing new and unique aesthetics and styles. Over the years he has participated in various national and international urban art events. His works have also been shown in various solo and group exhibitions. In addition to exhibitions, his works can also be found in urban environments, mostly hidden in industrial areas.
